Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Heal (the “App”, “we”, “us”), operated by AiCE-Lab, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Heal mobile application and related services at heal.xyz.

Heal is a wellbeing application that provides audio, audiobooks, guided meditation, Qur’an recitation, courses, and video content, along with optional subscriptions and optional mood tracking. We are committed to collecting only what we need to provide the service and to handling it responsibly.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — your name, and your email address and/or phone number, used to create and sign in to your account.
• Profile & preferences — language choice, favourites, ratings, and the content you save or follow.
• Support communications — the contents of messages you send us for help or feedback.

Information collected automatically

• Usage & content activity — items you open, play, complete, favourite, or rate, used to power your library, progress, and recommendations.
• Device & diagnostic data — device model, operating system, app version, and crash/error reports, collected via Google Firebase Crashlytics to keep the app stable.
• Push notification token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging identifier used to send you notifications (you can turn notifications off in your device settings).

Wellbeing & mood information

If you choose to turn on mood tracking, we record how you tell us you are feeling: a pleasantness value, the feeling labels you select, and the time of the entry. Where you log a feeling after listening to something, we also record which item it was and how long you listened, so we can learn which content genuinely helps.

• Mood tracking is entirely optional. Heal works fully without it, and nothing is recorded unless you turn it on.
• We use it to show you your own history and to suggest content and practices suited to how you have been feeling.
• You can export or delete all of your mood data at any time from Settings. Turning mood tracking off also deletes what we hold.
• We do not use mood information for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties.

Mood information is sensitive. We treat it as such, and we collect nothing beyond what the feature needs to work.

Subscriptions & payments

The Heal mobile app contains no payment functionality of any kind — it is a free app, and you cannot purchase anything inside it. Subscriptions are bought and managed only on our web portal. Where you do subscribe, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider; we receive your subscription status and a transaction reference, and we never collect or store your full card, mobile-wallet PIN, or banking credentials.

2. How we use your information

• To create your account and authenticate you securely.
• To deliver content and remember your preferences, favourites, and progress.
• Where you have turned on mood tracking, to show you your own history and to personalise the content and practices we suggest to you.
• To manage your subscription status and the access it grants you.
• To send service and content notifications (where enabled).
• To diagnose crashes, improve performance, and keep the app secure.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. How your information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us operate Heal, and only as needed:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and services.

4. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or security obligations.

Mood entries are kept until you delete them or turn mood tracking off, whichever comes first. Both remove them from our systems; neither waits for you to delete your whole account.

5. Data security

Your information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Authentication tokens are kept in your device’s secure storage. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

6. Your rights and choices

• Access & correction — view and update your profile information in the app.
• Account & data deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address below.
• Mood data — turn mood tracking on or off, export your entries, or delete all of them, at any time in Settings. No need to contact us.
• Notifications — enable or disable push notifications in your device settings.

7. Children’s privacy

Heal is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. International users

Heal is operated from Bangladesh. If you use the App from outside Bangladesh, your information may be processed in Bangladesh and other countries where our service providers operate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
